VOLVO C70


The Volvo C70 introduced as a 1997 model in Europe, and as a 1998 model in North America, built by the Ford Motor Company's Volvo subsidiary. The C70 is available in both convertible and (originally) coup versions with a choice of manual or automatic transmission. Although visually based on the 850, it was actually engineered by Tom Walkinshaw Racing and was a breakthrough design for Peter Horbury.

MITSUBISHI 3000GT VR4


The Mitsubishi GTO although in most export markets it was rebadged as a Mitsubishi 3000GT. The 3000GT was also sold by Chrysler in North America as a Dodge Stealth captive import from 1991 to 1996 with only minor detail/appearance differences. Regardless of its badge or eventual target market, every car was built on the same production line at Mitsubishi's plant in Nagoya, Japan.

TOYOTA SUPRA TURBO


The fourth generation of the Supra, Toyota took a big leap in the direction of a more powerful sports car. The new Supra was completely redesigned, with rounded body styling partly based on the Ferrari F40. The MKIV Supra's twin turbos operated in sequential mode instead of the more common parallel mode.

MASERATI COUPE


To mark the commencement of Maserati's 90th birthday celebrations, a limited series of Maserati Coupes and Spyders have been commissioned, appropriately named the 90th Anniversary Edition. Just 30 examples of the Maserati Coupe and Spyder models will reach our shores between April and September 2004. The Anniversary models will be available in both transmission options, traditional 6-speed manual shift as well as 6-speed Cambiocorsa versions.

LOTUS CARLTON


The Lotus Carlton was a Vauxhall Carlton saloon, Opel and Vauxhaul who wanted to improve the image of thier platform car. Lotus used the Vauxhaul Carlton 3.0 GSi 24v as a base for the car, improving almost every component. The external differences were minimal to the five seater with only the rear spoiler, a couple of air intakes on the bonnet, Lotus badges on the front wings and bootlid, and considerably wider wheel arches telling it apart from any other Carlton.

HONDA NSX R


Ten years after the introduction of the original NSX-R, Honda's objective is delivering new aerodynamic technologies to achieve a level of stability beyond earlier designs. The NSX-R has a more aggressive rear spoiler and hood vent, along with other refinements to reduce the weight to 1270 kg. Under the body, panels and air fences in the front, along with a small rear diffuser serve to produce balanced downforce. The subtle changes along with its renowned handling have kept NSX-R in contention on the track even against considerably higher-powered cars.

ALPINA B7


BMW with Alpina have created a special high performance version of the 7 Series luxury sedan. The 2006 BMW Alpina B7 brings together the luxury, pioneering design, and advanced technology of the 7 Series Sedan. The heart of the B7 is a 4.4 litre V8 engine that is charged through the use of a radial (Nautilus-type) compressor. The combination of Valvetronic and charging is world first.

ALFA ROMEO GT COUPE


The Alfa Romeo GT is a coupe produced by Italian manufacturer Alfa Romeo since 2004. The GT is based on the larger 156 sedan, body styled by Bertone. Most mechanicals are taken directly from the 156, with some influence from the slightly more modern 147. The 240bhp 3.2-litre V6 offers good all-round performance but is prone to torque steer.

ALFA ROMEO BRERA V6 Q4 SV


The Alfa Romeo Brera first appeared as a concept car at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show. It was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro at Italdesign Giugiaro, and was a large luxury sports car with V8 power. Before it was released, the Alfa Brera concept car was voted "Best of Show" by Autoweek magazine at the Geneva Motor Show, "Best of Show" in the prototype category at the Villa d?Este Concorso D?Eleganze, it picked up two prizes at Challenge Bibendum 2002, and "the Most Fascinating Car" award at the Super Car Rally 2002 form Paris to Monte Carlo.

BMW M3 E36


The replacement for the original M3 appeared at the 1992 Paris Auto Show. This E36 coupe model got the 3.0 straight-6 engine. Following the legacy of the E30 M3, the E36 falls short of the original intent for the series. Unlike the E30 M3 which was designed for competition purposes, the E36 M3 was developed as a road-going GT that lacked motor sport program.

BMW 850 CSI E31


The BMW 8 Series E31 is a V8 or V12-engined 2-door 2+2 coupe built by BMW from 1989 to 1999 with a top speed of 186 mph. A common misconception is that the 8 Series has been a successor for the original BMW 6 Series in 1989.

BENTLEY GT


Performance claims predict the Bentley Continental GT coupe will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds and reach a maximum speed of more than 180 mph. Power will be fed through a new, paddle-operated 6-speed automatic gearbox and will be delivered to the road via all-wheel drive--a first in Bentley's history. The company says all-wheel drive was considered essential not only for safety but to enhance the car's everyday usability everywhere from metropolitan highways to ski resorts all over the world. Electronic Stability Control is also included. Suspension is made up of a multilink rear axle with double wishbones in the front and the latest in electronic damping control.

AUDI R8


The Audi R8 is the first mid-engined sports car and was released by Audi in 2006. Audi announced in 2005 that the name of the successful Audi R8 race car would be used for a new road car in 2007, the Audi R8, based on the Audi Le Mans, which was a concept car at the 2003 Geneva Auto Show. The R8 was officially launched at the Paris Auto Show on 30 September 2006. The R8 combines Audi's experience gained from numerous motorsport victories.

ASTON MARTIN DBR9


The Aston Martin DBR9 racing car by Aston Martin built in 2005. The name DBR9 is derived from the original 24 Hours of Le Mans-winning DBR1 car, named for then owner David Brown. The DBR9 GT racing car is based on the latest Aston Martin production sports car - the DB9 - but is significantly modified for competition use. Aston Martin Racing will build 12 Works cars, which will be run by three Works teams in the major international GT series.

It incorporates the latest F1 Technology and has been designed and developed in close cooperation with Ford Research.

ROLLS ROYCE PHANTOM


The Rolls-Royce Phantom was launched in 2003, it is an ultra-luxury sedan automobile made by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in Great Britain, a BMW subsidiary. The engine is derived from BMW's existing V12 powerplant. It is the first Rolls-Royce branded car made under the ownership of BMW. An extended wheelbase Phantom was presented in March 2005 at the Geneva Motor Show, which is 250 mm longer than the standard Phantom.

MERCEDES BENZ S 600 GUARD


Mercedes Benz S 600 Guard is an armoured special-protection model. LEXUS LS460

BMW 760

2010 Hennessey Ford Taurus


The 2010 SHO is powered by Ford’s 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 producing 365 hp, which doesn’t sound bad. Ford tuned the EcoBoost engines for optimum fuel economy and not purely for power – something Hennessy aims to change.Hennessey aims to build on the already impressive SHO with everything from a basic exhaust package to turbocharger and intercooler upgrades. In addition to boosting power in a number of ways, Hennessey also plans on offering upgraded suspension packages. Expect firm details to emerge closer to the Taurus SHO’s launch.
